Position Information 

E A Southee Publc School is in the township of Cootamundra. Enrolment for 2024 is at 93. Classes are organised in stages and operates as teams. Within the team approach all lessons are delivered through a co-educator model.The school has 23% ATSI student population and proudly stands on Gudhamangdhuray Wiradjuri land. E A Southee has a strong focus on Explicit Teaching, differentiated learning and a range of extracurricular opportunities to develop the whole child in a caring, supportive and inclusive environment. Our dedicated and enthusiastic staff focus on a culture of collective efficacy and supporting and modelling the school values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience. The school is supported by an involved Parents and Citizen's Association as well as the broader community. This position will involved professional commitment to collaborative teaching and planning and practice within a stage based learning environment.

  
Specific Selection Criteria 
  1. Approval to teach Primary 3-6 with demonstrated ability to develop and deliver high quality differentiated literacy and numeracy programs with expertise in student data analysis to inform teaching practice.
  2. Highly developed communication, organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the wider community to enhance student outcomes.
  3.  A demonstrated capacity to contribute to a strong school culture of co-teaching and innovative teaching and learning practices to meet the diverse needs of students including High Potential and Talented students.
  4. Demonstrated capacity to develop positive learning environments with a thorough understanding of effective behaviour management strategies that enhance student wellbeing and learning outcomes.
  5. Proven ability to implement effective strategies and programs to enhance the wellbeing of a diverse range of learners including students from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds and those who have experienced trauma, low socio-economic status or have a disability.
  6. A commitment to enriching students learning and wellbeing by actively contributing to the provision and support of whole school programs and extra-curricular opportunities for students including, but not limited to, public speaking, debating, technology and sport.
  
Conditions 

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
