Position Information 

Granville East Public School is a dynamic, community school with 275 students - 98% from diverse cultural backgrounds. Our main language group is Arabic although we represent over 24 different linguistic groups.

Our teachers work in close stage teams, using research, data and collaborative practice to improve teaching and learning. Our signature pedagogies include Learning Centres & Problem-based Inquiry (play-based K-2, problem-based 3-6); Guided Reading and Writing K-6 (explicit teaching); and student leadership of Learning Conversations (as part of our 3-way reporting).

Our school ethos is about building student agency and our Positive Behaviour for Learning focus uses a trauma-informed approach to developing confident, self-regulated students.

Specific Selection Criteria 

Approval to teach K-6 with sound pedagogy in literacy, numeracy and inquiry to improve student learning outcomes.

Demonstrated ability to inspire students to achieve learning goals.

Proven ability to grow as a practitioner.

Evidence of highly developed communication and collaboration skills to sustain productive relationships with students, staff and community members.

Skills and/or experice in public speaking/debating and choir.

  
Conditions 

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
