Job overview

Within our nursery we have an integral Additionally Resourced Provision (NARP) for 16 (8FTE) pre-school children with a range of special educational needs. The Headteacher and Governors are seeking to appoint an experienced and inspirational teacher to lead the NARP. 

Candidates will be excellent EYFS teachers with a proven record in Special Needs education.

The successful candidate must:

• Have extensive knowledge and understanding of a range of special needs, particularly autism, with a clear knowledge and understanding of structured teaching, PECS, using communication tables, sensory processing, intensive interaction and the social understanding of children with Special Education Needs.

• Have excellent interpersonal skills in order to liaise effectively with parents, teachers and a range of other professionals. 

• Be a good communicator (written and oral) with excellent management, organisational and leadership skills.
