The post holder will be required to teach to a high standard within the School of Engineering meeting the expectations contained within the College’s teaching and learning standards and be experienced in Fabrication & Welding.
Knowledge of a wide range of software and equipment but not limited to the following:
- Knowledge and application of welding process, TIG, MIG, ARC, MAGS, FCAW not limited to just these
- Understanding of welding testing
- Aluminium Welding experience
- Welding Coding 9606,4872, ASMI X2
- CNC plasma, and Brake Press
- Cad systems eg Solidworks, Autocad

Northampton College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational further education college situated in Northamptonshire. It is a 16-plus institution with three campuses: a major building at its main Northampton site, a smaller campus near the town centre and another 20 miles away in Daventry. It provides places for around 9,000 students aged 16 and over, most of whom are full-time and aged 16-18.
Northampton College was opened in 1973. It merged with Daventry Tertiary College to expand its Daventry campus in August 2004, and its Booth Lane campus reopened after a large redevelopment in 2012.
