Runshaw College is one of the most successful colleges in the country, renowned locally and nationally for outstanding results, friendly and supportive culture, and a real focus on putting the student at the heart of all that we do. Situated in the Leyland, Lancashire, the College is near the M6, M61 and M65 and within commuting distance of Manchester, Liverpool and the Lake District. The Law School offers A-Level law to 260 students. Outcomes are consistently above national averages with very high levels of student satisfaction. A willingness to participate in the schools varied enrichment program is essential as many of our students go on to further legal study, often at prestigious universities. The School are current Regional Winners of the Bar National Mock Trial Competition, have taken part in the World Mock Trial Championships in New York and have a thriving Law Academy, along with residentials, moot competitions and visiting speakers. We are seeking an outstanding and committed teacher of law to join our high performing department. They should be enthusiastic, student centred and committed to developing and delivering highly effective teaching, assessment and support strategies. Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to seek continual improvement will also be essential requirements for this post. Applications are welcome from those who wish to work full or part-time. Although A-Level teaching experience is an advantage, we also welcome applications from NQT’s or those at an early stage in their career.

Runshaw College first opened in 1974 as a small Sixth Form College with just 450 students. Almost fifty years later, we are now a hugely successful comprehensive Tertiary College with over 6000 learners, supported by over 650 staff. Students consistently achieve some of the strongest outcomes nationally, and progress in large numbers to prestigious destinations including Oxford and Cambridge Universities, Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Science courses, and prestigious conservatoires.
