Spring Lane School is an evolving Secondary Pupil Referral Unit dedicated to engaging young people in their learning journey and transforming their futures. We pride ourselves on providing a supportive and inclusive environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Part-Time Construction Teacher/Instructor to join our team. This role involves planning and delivering comprehensive lessons in Construction to pupils on a vocational pathway of study. You will play a vital role in guiding and inspiring our students, fostering their growth in this industry, and preparing them for successful futures potentially in further training or employment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in construction to pupils on a vocational pathway.

· Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.

· Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.

· Prepare students for assessments and industry-related qualifications.

· Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure the best outcomes for all students.

· Participate in school activities and events to support the wider school community.

Key Requirements:

· Relevant qualifications in construction.

· Industry experience in the field.

· Teaching or instructional experience is highly desirable, especially with pupils in a PRU setting.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· A passion for teaching and mentoring young people, including the most vulnerable

· Ability to engage, motivate, and inspire students.

· Strong organisational and planning skills.
