Job overview

In March 2018 Churchill Park School will become part of KWEST multi academy trust.

Located in a modern building, Churchill Park School is an Ofsted Good, all through mixed special school, catering for children and young people of West Norfolk with complex needs. We currently have 217 students on roll.

Following the successful appointment of the new Head of School, we are now seeking teachers who are outstanding practitioners and have the desire to support the school's journey from good to outstanding.

We are looking for  people who are excellent at understanding individual need and offer creative solutions to learning. Classes average 10 students and there is support from Teaching Assistant teams within each class.

Applications from outstanding mainstream colleagues, (particularly with an early years or primary background), who wish to gain experience in special education are warmly welcomed. This is an excellent opportunity for teachers wishing to develop leadership skills, (by leading their teams), in a creative and forward looking school.

There is a wealth of experience across the MAT, with fully committed and like minded individuals. Exciting times ahead, and as the MAT grows to its expected capacity there will be excellent further career enhancement opportunities for ambitious and high calibre individuals.

In return for your integrity, passion and sense of fun we are able to offer you the opportunity to work in a well resourced school, alongside a committed, hardworking and very dedicated staff team.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of this innovative and forward thinking MAT.

We would warmly welcome your visit to our school prior to the closing date.

Please contact our Senior Leadership Team PA, Joan Gray on 01553 763679 or email her on admin@churchillpark.norfolk.sch.uk to make an appointment.

Churchill Park School has recently taken a leading role in the formation of KWEST, King’s Lynn and West Norfolk Education Synergy Trust. The Multi Academy Trust (MAT) will comprise seven schools initially and will commence its journey on 1st March 2018.  It has some exciting and innovative ambitions for the future, to include collaboration on the development of two Free School bids and further development of a teaching school alliance. Clearly these developments will provide ongoing opportunities for professional development and as KWEST grows to an expected capacity of 15 to 20 schools there will be excellent further career enhancement opportunities for ambitious and high calibre individuals.

The success of KWEST will depend totally on the founding schools continuing to strive for excellence and this pursuit will be a key element of responsibility within this post.

We are looking for confident creative people who have a ‘can do’ attitude to all things. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate tenacity and flexibility and be committed to achieving only the very best for the children and young people at Churchill Park School.

We recognise that our workforce is our most valuable asset in providing the best quality teaching and learning, so we make sure everyone has the chance to gain skills and confidence and the chance to practice and develop individually and as part of the team. We can offer good support from experienced professionals and opportunities for further training here in our purpose built school. It continues to be a fascinating journey and if you are up for the challenge we would be delighted to hear from you.

Please visit our school website www.churchillpark.norfolk.sch.uk where you will find an introduction to our school and details about our core values and approaches to learning.

Visits to the school are also warmly welcomed.
