Position Information 

Lane Cove West Public School is located in the Lower North Shore of Sydney with an enrolment of 477 and 20 classes catering for K-6. The school has 36% of students from non-English speaking backgrounds and 3 students from an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander background. At Lane Cove West Public School, teachers, students and parents collaborate to create an educational foundation to allow students to achieve success and to thrive in all aspects of life. Every student is supported to develop their cognitive, physical, social, emotional and spiritual self through engaging activities that promote diversity, resilience, empathy, kindness and require students to be reflective learners. The school provides an inclusive, challenging and supportive learning environment to ensure all students are catered and nurtured for in their personalised learning journey. Specific Selection Criteria 

     Approval to teach infants and primary with a proven ability to design, implement and monitor inclusive learning programs, informed by evidence-based practice in literacy and numeracy.

Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with a range of stakeholders, building positive relationships with students, including behaviour management.

Wide knowledge of ICT, with an intrinsic interest to upskill in technological advances, that can be used to enhance learning outcomes for all students.

 Demonstrated willingness to undertake and contribute to whole school co-curricular programs including, but not limited to, public speaking, debating and choir.

  
Conditions 

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
