Teaching ServiceStrathfield North Public School is on Eora Nation land of the Wangal people. Our current enrolment is 537 students including 70% from a culturally and linguistically diverse background. Our community is proactive and supported by an involved and dedicated Parent and Citizens Association and strong partnerships with the local community.
The school enjoys a strong reputation in the local community for its high academic achievement, enrichment opportunities and differentiated support programs for students with additional needs. Our Learning and Support and English as an Additional Language or Dialect teams work in partnership with students, teachers and the community to ensure all learning and wellbeing needs are catered for within an inclusive environment.

- Approval to teach students with learning and support needs (primary) and/or experience teaching students with learning and support needs (primary) in regular classes.
- Capacity to provide specialist assistance to students in regular classes with additional learning and support needs and their teachers.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and community.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
This is a permanent part-time position for 2 days per week 0.4 FTE (Full-time equivalent).
