About the Role

Holy Spirit Catholic Primary School is currently seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teacher Librarian who are driven to join a team of innovative professionals who will nurture each child’s talents and gifts through the dynamic and stimulating curriculum and opportunities that we offer. 

You will be responsible for fostering academic excellence, creating a dynamic learning environment and growing each child to be engaged, focused and an independent learner whilst providing the highest level of pastoral care.

Essential Criteria

The Successful Applicant will demonstrate:

  • A thorough knowledge of the Australian Curriculum with the ability to organize, select and design content for effective teaching and learning.
  • Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage positively with colleagues, students, and parents.
  • The capacity to be a proactive member of a professional learning community complying with the legal, administrative, and professional requirements.
  • Classroom practices and organisational skills that create supportive and safe environments for all students, including meeting a variety of learning needs.
  • A comprehensive understanding of assessment and reporting strategies and the need to provide effective and timely feedback to parents and students.
  • Knowledge of Holy Spirit’s vision for learning; inclusive of our Catalyst learning approach.
  • A sound understanding of and commitment to the Church’s mission in Catholic Education and the capacity to contribute to the spiritual and community life of the school.

  • You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible to apply for this position. 

  • Appointment is subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment in accordance with CECG policy.
