Position Information 

Cranebrook High School is a comprehensive co-educational high school serving a diverse community in Western Sydney with a current enrolment of 830 students. 20% of the school population identifies as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and 5% of students are from a non-English speaking background. Cranebrook High School has a large Support Faculty, catering for 65 students with intellectual, behavioural and physical disabilities, that focuses on social and learning inclusivity. The school has a dynamic student leadership group that contributes significantly to the local community. Cranebrook High School has developed strong links with local community groups in order to support and improve student learning and wellbeing outcomes. The highly committed teaching and support staff is diverse in terms of experience and expertise. The school engages with a number of external organisations to improve educational outcomes and post school options for all students. Strong links with Western Sydney University, including an accelerated Agriculture program, support educational pathways for students and staff. 

  
Specific Selection Criteria 

Approval to teach Mathematics (Years 7-10), Mathematics (Years 11-12)

Demonstrated ability and enthusiasm to work as part of the collaborative Maths Faculty, to develop engaging and challenging teaching and learning programs to improve the outcomes for all learners.

Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.  

Capacity to show initiative and contribute significantly to whole school programs that provide enriching learning opportunities aligned to faculty and school strategic improvements.

  
Conditions 

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
