Oak Hill offers a unique half day programme to students with specific learning differences - dyslexia and/or AD(H)D. The programme provides students with three highly structured, multi-sensory instructional periods in reading, written language and mathematics each day.

Required: Qualified Teacher status, Masters Degree in Special Education with additional Special Education qualification in specific learning differences, particularly in dyslexia.

You will have experience of teaching Years 1 to 9. You will work as part of a very small team and have the skills necessary to take an active part in the further development of the school.

*You must be willing to travel to the USA for additional training for approximately 3 weeks either during June or July 2018.

The successful applicant will:

  • Work as a contributing member of a very small team, delivering high quality instruction to students with learning differences (dyslexia and/or AD(H)D.
  • Be flexible in your teaching and in daily interactions with the team and parents.
  • Attend accredited courses and attend in-service regularly to remain informed and proficient with current educational practice, particularly in relation to dyslexia, dyscalculia and AD(H)D
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the school through presentations to the community and professional colleages.
