Part time (0.4, 2 days a week), fixed term for 1 year from September 2019

We are looking for an outstanding classroom teacher with the ability to teach Art and Photography to KS3 and KS4. This will be a fantastic opportunity to be a part of a strong and rapidly growing department, teaching art and photography at GCSE level and to key stage 3. Candidates will need strong subject knowledge in fine art, and will need to be very able in drawing, painting and print-making amongst other fine art practices. Experience teaching photography with Photoshop style software and in using a digital SLR camera is essential. You will need to be either an outstanding classroom practitioner already, or an NQT that can demonstrate the potential to become outstanding quickly, with a commitment to continuous professional development.

About Bridgwater College Academy

Bridgwater College Academy is the only all-through mainstream Academy in Somerset and opened in 2012.  Student numbers are divided equally between Primary and Secondary phases; we also have a nursery provision too. The Academy was the first sponsored Academy within the Bridgwater and Taunton College Trust, which now hosts seven Academies and is itself set to continue to expand in the future.
