About the role: Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy are seeking to appoint an outstanding and innovative Teacher of Art and Photography who will be responsible for delivering lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, including Photography to A Level. We have a thriving Art and Photography Department and our successful candidate will have experience in Dark Room and Digital Techniques. The post-holder will join us after the Easter break in April 2018. The ability to teach in other areas of the creative arts curriculum would be an advantage, but not essential.
Our newly opened Digital Media Centre provides our students with access to high quality industry standard hardware and design software. This facility is unique to our academy and sponsored by the Stationers' Livery Company. We have close links with a range of digital media industries, professional photographers and specialists in the field of journalism providing our students and staff with fantastic work related learning opportunities and professional development.
Responsibilities of this role are in line with the National Teaching Standards.
Working at Stationers' Crown Woods Academy: The Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy joined our Trust in 2014. The campus incorporates nine buildings which include four home schools each serving 450 pupils and students, a Design, Technology and Creative and Performing Arts School, a Sport & Community Education Centre and an Inclusions Hub. Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy is delighted be part of the Leigh Academies Trust who, with the Stationers’ Company and Ravensbourne, will enable the new Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy to enhance our provision and develop a Digital Curriculum fit for the future.
