We are looking to make an appointment from September 2018 of a dynamic full-time or part-time (FTE 0.8) permanent Teacher of Art and Photography to role model high quality learning and teaching and to maximise the achievement of students. We believe this is an exciting opportunity for a newly-qualified or experienced teacher to join our successful, high-performing and friendly Art and Photography Department.
Higham Lane School is a high-performing 11-18 comprehensive academy with approximately 1390 students on roll, based on an attractive site in the north east of Nuneaton on the Warwickshire-Leicestershire border.
Our school is very popular and well regarded; it is heavily over-subscribed at entry. Our students have the benefits of working in a school that has a happy, caring and purposeful environment. The School’s mission is: “Helping learners succeed” and our students are encouraged to do their very best in every aspect of their lives and to reach the highest standards.
Applications are invited from suitably-qualified, experienced and enthusiastic teachers to teach Art at Key Stage 3 and 4 and Photography at Key Stage 4. The ability to teach Art at A-level is essential, although having no prior experience of teaching A-level Art would not prevent suitable candidates from being shortlisted, if they meet the person specification.
