The Art department is a well-resourced and stimulating working environment with facilities for painting, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, textiles and photography. Working collaboratively, we strive to offer a rich curriculum of exciting projects and extra-curricula activities across the key stages.  Art, Craft and Design is a popular subject at GCSE where students are encouraged to develop their individual artistic sensibilities. We promote a passion for drawing and engaging in the act of making art. 

The Astley Cooper School is an increasingly popular and academically successful school. We are part of the East Dacorum Co-operative Learning Trust and are looking forward to a multi-million-pound new build as part of the Government’s Priority School Building Programme.
