Batley Grammar School is a 4-16 Free School (Academy) with an auspicious 400 year history, (one of the first former independent schools to convert). Current numbers in the school are 208 in Reception to Year 6 in the Primary Phase and 682 in Years 7-11 in the Secondary Phase. The school is increasing until secondary numbers reach a maximum of 800.
Batley Grammar School, as a Free School, has its own terms and conditions and has retained its independent school term and holiday dates.
