Teacher of History Vacancy
Transylvania College is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic teacher of Chemistry to work in a successful and well-resourced department teaching Keys Stage , IGCSE, AS and A2 levels on the Cambridge curriculum. The post is to start on September 26th 2018. He / she is expected to have enthusiasm for science, ability to inspire students, creative thinking, problem solving and good time management.
We deliver discrete lessons across the entire age range from Year 7 to Year 13 A-level. In Key Stage 3 our curriculum follows an enhanced version of the National Curriculum for England and Wales. In Key Stage 4 students will sit CIE examinations.
Teaching in all subjects aims to include integration of our Global Awareness programme and the Leader in Me process into everyday lessons to support our school vision ensuring that students develop a sense of global citizenship as well as leadership skills.
Learners come from a broad range of backgrounds with a high proportion of learners for whom English is not their native language. Teachers are expected to have the highest expectations of all students whilst ensuring that all students are fully supported and challenged.
