Job overview
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Classics teacher to teach Classical Civilisation at GCSE and A Level and Latin at all levels, including A-Level and IB, within a very high-achieving and growing department.
The post is on a temporary basis, with a minimum of ½ a term but this could be extended. The successful candidate will support the Head of Classics in developing and promoting Classics throughout the school.
We are looking for someone with proven experience in teaching Classics throughout all key stages and the experience and ability to provide inspirational lessons to all year groups throughout the school.

Royal High School Bath was formed in 1998 with the successful merger of two very fine independent girls’ schools, both with histories going back to the middle of the 19th Century. It enjoys wonderful facilities for learning and recreation and our students achieve outstanding results at all levels. Our staffroom has a warm and collegial atmosphere and our membership of the GDST provides an exciting professional network for all staff.
We are the GDST’s only boarding school. We offer both day and boarding places from Year 5-13 and our boarders are extremely well integrated with the day community and have a strong profile within the school.
Our Sixth Form offers both IB and A Levels and works with an increasingly international cohort of students.
