Required for September 2018, a capable, enthusiastic and inspiring Teacher of Computing and ICT to join our successful, highly regarded and extremely well resourced Faculty. You will be expected to be able to contribute towards teaching Computing and ICT across the full age and ability range in KS3 and KS4. Computing and ICT are popular and very successful options in our Sixth Form and the ability to teach Computing at post-16 is an advantage.
Camborne Science and International Academy is a dynamic and innovative school in the heart of beautiful West Cornwall; which affords a very high quality of life. CSIA is one of Cornwall’s most successful schools, having been one of the highest performing state schools in Cornwall for the past 4 years. CSIA is home to the Nexus STEM and PPE programme for gifted students in KS3 and 4 and the Cornwall School of Maths and Science in the VI Form. We run a very active Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme with over 200 students involved and field Ten Tors teams each year.
Our school has developed exceptional International Science and Mathematics links with top schools in the Japan, Singapore, Thailand, China, South Korea, Australia and Canada. Recent collaboration has involved joint research projects, International Science and Mathematics fairs and competitions, as well as many significant student/staff visits and exchanges. The successful appointee will be encouraged to participate in this amazing and unique programme.
