Silverdale School is an extremely popular and high-achieving 11-18 comprehensive in the south west of Sheffield and is now the founding school of Chorus Education Trust. The school is rated as ‘Outstanding’ (Ofsted 2014) and achieved the best GCSE results in 2018 of any state school in Sheffield. At Post 16 the progress students make places Silverdale in the top 10% of schools nationally. At its heart is one of the country’s largest Teaching Schools, the Sheffield Teaching School Alliance. Silverdale moved into a brand new building in January 2009 with a full complement of facilities.

Teacher of Computer Science and ICT
Required from September 2019 an enthusiastic, forward-thinking and committed teacher to work in this successful and expanding department.
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic teacher with excellent subject knowledge who can successfully plan and deliver lessons that inspire students to achieve their full potential.
The successful candidate will be required to teach KS3 and KS4 Computer Science & ICT lessons, whilst also having some experience/willingness to teaching BTEC iMedia / or A-level Computer Science would be advantageous.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team and would suit a newly/recently qualified or experienced teacher.
