We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, resourceful and committed Teacher of Computer Science. You will be joining our highly successful Business and Computer Science Faculty which is based on a redeveloped site following an impressive investment programme across the Academy.
The successful applicant will be committed to securing the best outcomes for all students within the Academy, as well as being part of the extra curricula opportunities offered to all students. We are looking for someone to inspire our students and promote a love for this subject both in and out of the classroom. Computing is a rapidly growing subject at GCSE, with increasing student uptake.
We welcome your interest and your application and would highly recommend visiting the Academy to see the impressive facilities and meet the excellent staff we have working within the faculty. Please contact Christine Hill on 01235 225700 or email@example.com to make arrangements.
As King Alfred’s is part of the Vale Academy Trust (VAT) we can offer staff the opportunity to rent local accommodation at very competitive rates. If you are interested in this accommodation this can be discussed in more detail at interview.
King Alfred’s is one of the largest secondary schools in Oxfordshire with a strong academic history, combining ancient listed buildings with recent capital investment totalling £17 million. The Academy has recently been reorganised from three sites to two sites. This has enabled very significant investment in the two remaining sites. Facilities for students and staff are excellent and include: A new purpose built Science Building, a new Dining Hall, renovated teaching rooms for Faculties such as Business and Computing, improved leisure facilities such as a new sports hall and expansion of Sixth Form Centre (due to be complete during 2019).
King Alfred’s is in the heart of the local community and has very strong links across many partners in the locality, and particularly with the primary schools with which we jointly form the Vale Academy Trust (VAT). We continually seek to improve the educational experience for students and reflect upon the responsibility we have as a local employer. At King Alfred’s we are passionate about learning both within and beyond the classroom; enrichment of educational experience is central to our ethos. We are committed to teacher training, the CPD and career development of our staff; we are a strategic partner within the Oxfordshire Teaching Schools Alliance.
