The Challenge Academy Trust (TCAT) is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspiring Teacher of Computing and ICT to be based at Priestley College.
We are looking for a teacher who will deliver lessons that stretch all their students and encourage a passion for the subject. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the extensive enrichment and workshop programme run by the curriculum area.
The faculty offers AS/A-Level Computer Science and a range of Vocational courses. We are excited to be offering in September 2020 a new Level 2 Foundation Programme as well as the new T-Level Technical Qualification in Digital: Digital Production, Design and Development. The ideal candidate will preferably have current industry practice or expertise and will contribute to the planning and delivery of the new T-Level qualification. We would accept applications from NQTs or an individual from industry/or a graduate who is seeking a career to in the education sector.
Responsible to: The Head of Faculty of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)
Contractual Terms: NJC Terms and Conditions for Teaching Staff in Sixth Form Colleges
Working Arrangements: Part-time, minimum 0.4 up to full-time for the right candidate / Temporary
Start Date: 1st September 2020 (subject to successful pre-employment checks including a DBS check or a check against the DBS Update Service if registered)
Salary: Main Grade Teaching Scale, up to £39,329 per annum
Pension Scheme: Teachers' Pension Scheme
