About Eastlea Community School
Eastlea Community School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school in the London borough of Newham, serving students between the ages of 11-16. The secondary school, situated in Canning Town, has the capacity to accommodate 1200 students. Eastlea has a large number of high needs students including PMLD.
We pride ourselves in being a diverse school with over 80 different languages spoken amongst our students, many of these students are mid-phase admissions having newly arrived in the country. Key Stage 4 offers learning pathways to best suit individual students. English Baccalaureate is offered and students are encouraged to take a language and history/geography, our curriculum at this stage is designed to give students the best possible preparation for Key Stage 5 study.
