The Governors of this Outstanding, Leading Edge 11-18 Catholic School are seeking to appoint from 1st September 2018 a well qualified, enthusiastic, excellent and ambitious teacher to the post of Teacher of Computing/ICT at one of the fastest improving schools in the country. 5+A*-C including Maths and English has improved from 46% in 2010 to over 85% for the past 4 years at GCSE and we are confident of improving further this year. Similarly, A Level performance is excellent with 85% A*-B. Student progress is in the top 1% nationally. This post will provide the opportunity to join a very successful department at an exciting time in the school’s development.
The school places a great emphasis on the development of our staff, ensuring we are at the cutting edge of outstanding learning and teaching strategies. This, in addition to our leadership CPD programme, is aimed at bringing out the best in everyone and preparing them for future leadership roles. Since 2013 well over twenty staff have been promoted to Head of Department or Head of Year, fourteen to Assistant Head level, three to Deputy Head level and one became a Headteacher at another school. St Andrew’s Catholic School is a mixed, comprehensive, Roman Catholic secondary school with sixth form situated in Leatherhead, Surrey. It is a community state school which has strong links to local churches and falls under the Diocese of Arundel and Brighton. The school provides 1290 places for secondary and sixth form students between the ages of 11-18.
A school that consists of three buildings, the central school building dates back to the 1950s, while its new building opened in 2018.
