The Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic, creative and suitably qualified teacher of Design Technology. This role would best suit a candidate with good experience working as a DT teacher and delivering GCSE level lessons, although we will also consider applicants nearer the beginning of their career with other relevant experience.
We are looking for candidates with excellent teaching and organisation skills to strengthen the department further and play an important role in raising standards across all the Key Stages.
You will teach in modern professional facilities and be supported by an established and enthusiastic team.
The successful candidate will be passionate about improving students’ life chances and capable of contributing to a highly effective and supportive Design and Technology department and our extensive enrichment programme.

This role would best suit a candidate with good experience working as a food teacher and delivering GCSE level lessons, although we will also consider applicants nearer the beginning of their career with other relevant experience.
We are looking for candidates with excellent teaching and organisation skills to strengthen the department further and play an important role in raising standards across all the Key Stages.
You will teach in modern professional facilities and be supported by an established and enthusiastic team, including two technicians. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching all GCSE groups, and will have the freedom to develop and manage the GCSE food curriculum. Although the successful candidate will be the only food specialist in the department, they will work alongside teachers from DT and Textiles, many of whom deliver food lessons at Key Stage 3.

About Cardinal Newman Catholic School
Cardinal Newman Catholic School, based in Hove and Brighton is a mixed gender, secondary school for children between the ages of 11 and 18. The East Sussex school is voluntary aided and its denomination is Roman Catholic. The school was originally a part of the Stanford estate and in 1970’s was rented out to Edward King who used the grounds as a market garden, making produce for the Brighton market. Nuns of the Sacred Heart order were granted permission by the Bishop to create the school. They began building work in 1870 and in 1901, a new wing was created. In 1966, the nuns left the premises.
