We seek applications from enthusiastic and energetic professionals with a record of best practice and a sound knowledge of teaching and can accommodate a flexible start date of no later than Term 1 2025 at our Corio campus in this full-time ongoing position. 

 

Candidates must have a record of success in teaching Design Technology to Middle and Senior School students up to Year 12 which includes recent CAD and CNC experience. The ability to teach IB/VCE or VET Furnishing would be a distinct advantage. Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) is essential and candidates should provide evidence of their right to work in Australia.

 

All teaching staff at Geelong Grammar School have a significant role in enhancing the resiliency and wellbeing of students through the delivery of Positive Education, based on the principles of Positive Psychology.

About Geelong Grammar School - Senior School, Corio Campus

Located in Victoria, Australia, Geelong Grammar School is a co-educational independent school. First established in 1855, the school was founded upon the principles of the Anglican Church. The school has around 1500 learners aged 3-18, made up of both day and boarding pupils. Boarding begins in Year 5 (ages 10-11), with boarding students being housed on different campuses depending on age. Geelong Grammar School has four main campuses, and is able to boast of a wide range of outstanding academic and recreational facilities. These campuses cover a combines 550 hectares, with facilities including various music schools, extensive IT facilities, numerous sports facilities, and even a fully functioning farm. As well as these, the school also plays host to some older, more historic buildings, including the school chapel. In terms of curriculum, Geelong Grammar School students follow the same curriculum, namely the Australian curriculum, up until Year 11. In Year 11, the school offers its students the choice of two academic paths for the rest of their time at school, either the International Baccalaureate Diploma, or the local Victoria Certificate of Education.
