About the Role
We wish to recruit someone who shares our vision that all pupils should leave with the skills to be able to express themselves creatively and imaginatively, and to gain self-esteem and confidence. As a Teacher of Drama, you will be expected to ensure, through effective Teaching and Learning, that all pupils are equipped to listen, negotiate and communicate.
This is a part-time role working Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
We’re looking for someone who:
- is passionate about Drama and about helping all pupils succeed despite their background;
- has high professional standards;
- is committed to raising the achievement of all learners by ensuring teaching across the curriculum is of the highest quality;
- is able to make positive relationships with staff, pupils and parents alike;
- is able to plan and deliver innovative and inspirational lessons that engage pupils;
- has experience in working with Key Stage 3 pupils.
We are making substantial improvements in all areas and are investing heavily in our staffing structure to continue this momentum. We are a supportive team, committed to ensuring that our learners fulfil their potential despite any barriers they may face.
Located on the outskirts of Northampton, we are situated in a great part of the country - Northampton has a £20 billion economy and sits at the heart of one of four designated growth areas in England, with big plans for housing and the economy. With plenty of countryside on the doorstep, it’s surprising that we’re only an hour away from London.
Working for the GAT, you can be assured that you will be contributing to helping support our mission to enable every child to do their best. All our academies work collaboratively together to share best practice and are supported by the expertise within the central team to enable them to focus on teaching and learning. As a GAT employee, you will receive excellent opportunities for career progression and access to bespoke CPD from the Learning Alliance to enhance your professional growth.
Visits to our academy are warmly welcomed; please contact Jo Cosciani, PA to the Principal on 01604 402121 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
