Full time from September 2023
You will be joining a dynamic and supportive integrated English and Drama department and enjoy some autonomy in teaching an agreed and regularly revised syllabus. You will be a well-qualified English/Drama graduate (1st/2:i) with the ability to teach Drama to GCSE/A level and English to key stage 3.
Outside of the classroom drama thrives, and you be expected to play a significant role in the provision of extra-curricular productions by directing one of these per year. In a typical academic year, there are three senior school plays, (Year 10 to U6) and two lower school plays (Years 7-9) and school musicals are staged biennially. Additionally, every other year the department takes a group of Sixth Form students up to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
