Minerva Learning Trust is an expanding Sheffield based multi-academy Trust with a vision of providing outstanding education for all the students within our schools.  The Trust is passionate that all students should see their time at school as happy and fulfilling with their potential developed to the utmost.  High Storrs School joined the Trust in April 2018.

High Storrs is a high-performing 11-18 secondary school on the South Western outskirts of Sheffield that has benefitted from a £27m refurbishment of our Grade II listed building.  Serving a multi-cultural learning community with high expectations and high aspirations, we are an over-subscribed school. 

We are seeking to appoint from September 2020 a committed and reflective practitioner to teach Product Design at KS3 and GCSE.  The successful candidate will work with the Subject Leader to maximise success for all students.  

Additional hours will be needed in 2020-21 and 2021-22 and other temporary variations and/or permanent increases may be available in future years.  Ability to offer Computing could provide further additional hours if desired.  Please make clear in your application the minimum and maximum hours that would suit you and any second subject you may be able to offer.

High Storrs School is a larger-than-average, mixed, 11-18 secondary school in south-west Sheffield, Yorkshire. The school roll is around 1600 with around 440 students studying in its sixth form. 

High Storrs School is designated a specialist school for performing arts, and mathematics and computing.  

The school is housed partly in a listed building, complemented by a new build, gained through the Building Schools for the Future programme, which offers many state-of-the-art facilities. 

A wide range of extra-curricular activities is offered, with the school particularly noted for its dance and drama. Students are provided for Sheffield theatres on a regular basis.
