Teacher of Economics and/or Politics

Manchester Mesivta is excited to offer the role of Teacher of Economics and Politics within our rapidly growing Jewish boy's school. This is a permanent, part time role (0.75) spread over four days and will involve the teaching of Economics and Politics to KS5 (AS/A-Level). We are looking for someone who is passionate about their subjects and determined in their mission to impart knowledge, skills and understanding to all of our young people, whilst exciting and engaging them in their learning. The position would also suit an experienced teacher.

You should be a committed classroom practitioner with a passion for learning and teaching. You must be able to establish excellent relationships with pupils and colleagues, and work well within a team.

Located in Prestwich, Greater Manchester, with easy access to the motorway system. Manchester Mesivta School is an Orthodox Jewish secondary school for boys.  The school has 240 pupils aged 11-18, making it much smaller than the average secondary school. The school moved onto its current site in 2005, and as a result can boast of a wide range of teaching and recreational facilities, including modern classrooms, as well as a number of extra-curricular activities.

This role is open to remote teaching or available for individual subjects (reduced timetable).
