Would you like to support the leadership and future development of a department and widen your leadership of teaching and learning across a Teaching School Alliance?

The Coleshill School are part of The Arthur Terry Learning Partnership (ATLP), a highly successful Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) encompassing 4 secondary schools, 8 primary schools, a Teaching School, and SCITT.  Our MAT is currently expanding and will soon be 14 schools, 5 secondary and 9 primary, based in north Birmingham, Tamworth, Lichfield and North Warwickshire.

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding and inspirational Teacher of English and aspiring Specialist Leader of Education, to join our forward looking and increasingly successful English Department. We want the best teachers and leaders to inspire our young people in an environment that is supportive but aspirational.  As a teacher of English you will join an innovative department led by a Head of Department and supported by an experienced Second in English in raising achievement and standards of teaching and learning in English to outstanding.

As an outstanding practitioner within your own classroom, this will be an exciting opportunity to expand your leadership across the wider school system.  As an aspiring Specialist Leader of Education you will have the unique opportunity to influence the leadership of teaching and learning across a range of school contexts which will be an ideal foundation from which to make the step-up to Senior Leadership.

You may already have the designation of Specialist Leader of Education (SLE) through the NCTL.  If not, the school will support you through the next appropriate designation round, as well as accessing coaching and professional development to ensure that you have the skills to be successful in this role.

There has never been a more exciting time to join a school which is open, innovative and has high expectations for all.  You can have a real impact on the lives of the young people as well as developing your skills to be the best that you can be.

The successful applicant will:
