Teacher of English & Drama

Cardinal Wiseman Catholic SchoolBirmingham

Are you an English and Drama teacher who loves teaching across these two important subjects? Do you want to further your development working in an outward-facing school?

Our ‘Good School’ (OFSTED, September 2016) is looking to recruit an energetic and enthusiastic teacher of English and Drama who is passionate about both of these subjects and inspirational to their students. This is an exciting time in the journey of our school; and as such we are seeking to appoint the right candidate to enable us to move forwards in our next chapter.

Cardinal Wiseman is a small Secondary school with a community of teachers and pupils that show care and compassion for each other. As a Catholic school we place our value in the person, recognising that each life is unique and precious. This is evident in our English and Drama teams where team work and a focus on positive relationships is at the heart of their work. Both departments have fostered a culture of nurturing, developing and showcasing students’ talents and in ensuring that every student can succeed.

We are seeking to appoint an innovative and talented teacher who, as well as instilling a love and appreciation for English, can also celebrate the intrinsic value of Drama. The ideal candidate will be an excellent practitioner with sound subject knowledge and a love for teaching both subjects. This could be perfect for an NQT at the beginning of their own journey, or for an experienced teacher looking to further their career in an ambitious environment.
