English is very well resourced at Carlton Bolling, reflecting the subjects’ importance to school results and the life chances of students. Class sizes average 15 across all year groups, whilst staff are supported with the best resources and training within and out of school to ensure that they are able to achieve the highest standards. There are many opportunities for progression within the faculty to ensure that careers can be developed and staff are suitably rewarded for their hard work. Our current Progress 8 measure for English is +0.26, and we hope to improve upon this in 2018 – our target being +0.6. 

The successful candidate will be committed to build on the successes of recent years whilst enhancing our curriculum offer, and will be joining a faculty which has a dedicated English team who are hardworking and enthusiastic. 

We are seeking to appoint:

• A teacher open to coaching and development in order to progress their career and practice
