Part-Time Teacher of English/Drama (0.3 FTE)
£1,000 recruitment allowance payable on completion of a successful probationary period
We are delighted to offer the opportunity for an enthusiastic and creative teacher of English/Drama on a part time basis from September 2018. The successful candidate will deliver 8 periods a week; at this stage there is some flexibility as to how we block lessons so we may be able to configure the days worked to fit with the successful candidate.
Rugby High School is an 11-18 girls’ grammar school with 841 students on roll. Twice judged outstanding by Ofsted, students achieve excellent academic results, enjoy a huge range of extracurricular activities and win accolades in a wide range of areas including music, drama, sport and public speaking. The school has a large Sixth Form (more than 50% of students accept places at Russell Group universities each year). All of our students are expected to pass GCSE English and English Literature at the end of KS4. A large number choose to continue to study the subjects to A Level.
We welcome applications from teachers at all stages in their career including those returning to teaching and NQTs. We offer a full induction programme, extensive professional development opportunities and a rich menu of extra-curricular activities.
• Would you like to teach able, motivated students who want to learn?
• Would you like to be part of a highly successful department?
• Are you passionate about your subject?
If so, then we might have just the job for you.
