Teacher of English

Ashington Academy is part of the North East Learning Trust and is seeking to appoint a Teacher of English to join our dedicated team. You will be a committed and enthusiastic member of staff, developing positive working relationships with students, teaching staff, other professionals and parents/carers; planning and delivering lessons effectively to meet the varied and special educational needs of student.

The successful candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status

• Have a First degree or equivalent in a relevant subject

• be an exemplary classroom practitioner and is able to model and coach their outstanding teaching • have high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour

• have excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills with the ability to lead, motivate, inspire, and support colleagues

• be committed to working in partnership with our parents and the local community.
