Varndean School is an 11-16 school with around 1350 students, set in a picturesque south coast location in the vibrant and diverse city of Brighton and Hove. We are a Good (Ofsted 2017) and well-established school already, we have made rapid progress over the past couple of years and have no intention of resting on our laurels. The potential here is immense and the successful applicant will play a role in our vision to develop World Class Learning.
Our English department strives to ensure that all students develop a love of language and literature, whilst also developing their proficiency in reading, writing and communication skills. We are also part of the Year 7 Specialist Schools Curriculum, and run a module on Creative Writing in the School of Creativity.
