Teacher of English | To start from January 2019
We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and experienced classroom practitioner to join our dedicated and successful department in January 2019. We have recently been awarded Teaching School status which provides many exciting and rewarding career opportunities for Ashlawn School staff.
The Ashlawn English Department is a large, supportive and dynamic team. Young people make exceptional progress and attain outstanding outcomes in all of our many qualifications. We have a large, thriving 6th form and the English department offers five different A levels for these students, therefore a willingness to teach KS5 is desirable. We passionately believe in knowledge, high standards and supporting each other to become better teachers and leaders because this is the surest way to make a difference to the life chances for young people.
Following our Ofsted inspection in 2013, we were graded an “Outstanding” School in all areas. The report attested to English students making “outstanding progress” and that “attainment in English is consistently high.”
Ashlawn School is a popular and oversubscribed 11-18 co-educational, comprehensive, bi-lateral school with 1875 students on roll, 426 of whom are in the Sixth Form. Our students are enthusiastic, talented and keen to succeed and we are looking for a colleague who can enable this: to inspire young people with a passion for learning, to equip them with skills and knowledge and to transform their lives.
We are known for our enthusiastic and dedicated staff and students who are enthusiastic, talented and keen to succeed. We are keen to welcome colleagues who share our passion for engaging students in learning and inspiring them to achieve.
• Do you want to make a real difference to the lives of our students?
• Do you have what it takes to work with a determined leadership team and staff, which promote excellence, and consistently challenge you to improve?
• Do you want to work in a lead school in Warwickshire for Gifted and Talented learning?
If so, then we welcome you to join our team at Ashlawn School.
We would also welcome any visits to our school so that you can see for yourself the excellent opportunity available.
