Job overview

There is nothing more   important at Westlands than pupils making excellent progress in English. Our   fully staffed and highly motivated team is based in specialist accommodation   with excellent resources including interactive whiteboards. We offer excellent career development   opportunities as well as professional support. We would welcome applications from a teacher with a proven track record of ensuring that pupils make at least good/outstanding levels of progress on a consistent basis. In this instance we would be willing to negotiate an appropriate TLR responsibility within the department. Alternatively, we are open to less experienced applications or NQTs looking to develop as classroom teachers.

Our progress 8 score places   the school above the national average.

Values and vison

While academic progress, especially in literacy and numeracy, is a top priority, the large size of Westlands means that the school can offer facilities to appeal to students with a range of abilities - creative and practical, as well as academic.

The school is committed to encouraging success and rewarding all achievements. It expects its students to display high standards of behaviour, including taking responsibility for their actions and showing care and consideration to all around them.
