Located in the beautiful town of Tervuren, near the university city of Leuven, BSB is a not for profit, inclusive fee-paying international school with 1,350 students from approximately 70 countries. There is an Early Childhood Centre for children aged 1-3. Our Primary School offers a bespoke curriculum with integrated learning themes that are inquiry based and skills driven. Whilst British-based, it is uniquely adapted to the needs of our international and multicultural student body. Students in Year 10 & 11 study for (I)GCSE and BTEC courses. We are seeking to appoint a teacher who can bring real enthusiasm to the post, making a wider contribution to the life of the school and student learning.
The position is a French First Language (Français Langue Maternelle) post, with a very small amount of Second Language (Français Langue Étrangère) teaching. The ideal candidate will be a native-level speaker who should be able to offer French across the Secondary School age range (11-18), with experience teaching French literature for public examinations. The successful candidate will take on the current Year 11 First Language group, which is preparing the Cambridge GCE AS literature exam, and the Year 12 / 13 classes which are following the IB Language A (Language and Literature) course.
