Job overview

                                          TEACHER OF FRENCH

From September 2022 – MPS Inner London Scale

“This is an outstanding school” - Ofsted March 2019.

St Gregory’s has been identified by OFSTED in March 2019 as an outstanding school in all areas of its practice; by the DfE as a Lead Behaviour School and by the SSAT as a High Attaining School. Our latest Progress 8 Score (in 2019) was + 0.39; whilst at A Level, 66% of students achieved A*-B grades.

The Governors of this highly successful and over-subscribed mixed 11-18 Specialist Science College are seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and well qualified French specialist (the department currently offers to students GCSE, and A-Level French entries as well as in Community Languages).  The successful candidate will also be a person with ideas, drive for excellence and very good teaching skills.

The Modern Foreign Languages Department is successful across all the Key Stages and the successful applicant will be supported in a strong and well-resourced department. All rooms have interactive whiteboards, excellent resources, and the services of an administrative assistant.

The school is firmly committed to CPD and to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils. All staff will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.  A respect for the Catholic ethos of the school is essential.
