The Governors are seeking to appoint a full-time, enthusiastic, Teacher of Geography with the ability to teach other Humanities subjects, to an excellent department at an exciting time in the school’s development. The successful candidate would be joining a strong, hard-working team which is committed to achieving excellence and in which a creative approach to teaching and learning in Humanities is strongly encouraged.
The post is suitable for teachers at all stages of their career and the school is fully committed to supporting staff with CPD, including NQT programmes.

Located in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, Oulder Hill Community School is a co-educational secondary school. With around 1200 pupils aged 11-16, Oulder Hill is noticeably larger than the average school of its type, and covers a large and diverse catchment area, a fact reflected in its student intake. The school merged with another local secondary school, specialising in children with learning disabilities, in 2003. This coincided with a significant redevelopment and modernisation of the school site, meaning that Oulder Hill can now boast of a wide range of modern teaching and recreational facilities. Although Oulder Hill had previously has a sixth form, this was closed in 2010.
