IBSTOCK PLACE SCHOOL
Teacher of Geography
Autumn Term 2019 (start date 27 August 2019)
Applications are invited for a well-qualified and inspirational teacher of Geography. The successful applicant should be able to teach Advanced Level Geography. We are looking for applicants who are able to combine an intellectually rigorous approach to the subject with an obvious passion for it who have the ability to convey this interest across the range of ages in the School.
The post is appropriate for an established teacher wishing to take on a responsibility within the Faculty, or for a newcomer to the profession. IPS runs its own Graduate Training Programme and so the post may suit a graduate who is keen to enter the teaching profession but who does not have NQT status.
All members of staff have a pastoral role within the School and are required to participate in its co-curricular programme, thus enabling them to share their skills and expertise in areas not covered within curriculum time.
Information about the post is available at http://www.ibstockplaceschool.co.uk/Employment-Opportunities
The completed application form, together with a CV and a handwritten covering letter, should be posted to the Headmistress, as soon as possible. Email applications will only be accepted in exceptional circumstances.
The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
