The Directorate Children and Young People (DCYP) provides appropriate professional direction, support and advice to ensure that Service children, wherever they are living in the world, and young people, are provided with every opportunity to achieve the best possible outcomes and fulfil their potential.
DCYP is a highly complex organisation employing c.1000 personnel which included Teachers, MOD Broader Banded Civil Servants, Soulbury Grades, Locally Employed Civilians and Contractors in multiple worldwide locations.
St John’s School is situated in British Forces Cyprus and is rated by Ofsted as ‘good with outstanding features.’  The school has 32 teaching staff and 285 students on roll.  Children are predominantly from Service families with the remainder made up from civilian support elements and some fee-paying students.

We are seeking to employ a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Girls’ PE and a second subject* who is committed to working to support the progress of Service children overseas. The person appointed will work across two departments at St John’s School, Episkopi, which serves the British Military communities in Cyprus. We need someone who shares the Headteacher’s vision based on ‘Excellence, Learning and Leadership’ who is prepared to give 100% to support the progress and create a love of learning for the Service children whom we serve.

*The second subject must be one of the following with the ability to teach up to Key Stage 5: Business Studies, ICT, Maths or Technology.
