Maternity cover contract from 1st September 2020

We are looking for an energetic and hardworking Teacher of Girls PE  to join our thriving PE and Sport department to cover a period of maternity leave from September 2021. Our ideal candidate will have a passionate and uncompromising commitment to pupil achievement and be a believer in the potential of young people, with a mind-set that all children can experience success. We welcome applications from NQT’s and should an NQT be appointed to this temporary post we will extend the temporary period to 31.8.2021, to ensure the NQT can complete the full academic year. 

North Cambridge Academy has strong working relationships with Norwich City Football Club, Cambridge Gymnastics Association, Cambridge United Football Club and Cambridge Tennis Academy.  There is an on-site state of the art, fully equipped gymnastics facility; floodlit tennis courts; a large sports hall and extensive rugby and football pitches. There is a positive and inclusive culture towards PE and Sport, where young people enjoy sporting opportunities in after school clubs, competitions and fixtures in addition to their timetabled PE lessons.

We are situated to the north of the city, approximately a mile from the centre of Cambridge. There is easy access from the A14 and we are close to the new Cambridge North train station. Cambridge is a vibrant university city with a growing reputation as a great place to live.

The closing date for applications is Monday 1st June 2020. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews which will take place on the school site, observing social distancing, week beginning Monday 8th June 2020.
