We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic and engaging teacher of predominantly girls’ Physical Education to join a thriving and popular department. There will be options to teach at each key stage with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 PE classes at GCSE, A level and Btech. Additional responsibilities will also include organising extra-curricular opportunities for students in a wide range of sports and activities. This post is suitable for an experienced teacher or an ECT who would receive excellent support from a hardworking and dedicated team.
This is a one year fixed term position.
The successful candidate will meet the following essential criteria:
● QTS;
● a broad base of subject knowledge;
● the ability to teach across Key Stages 4 and 5;
● a clear vision for a knowledge-rich curriculum;
● a clear understanding of successful classroom practice and evidence
based teaching;
● employs a range of teaching and learning strategies;
● the ability to work effectively as part of a curriculum team;
● the ability to maintain good classroom behaviour;
● effective interpersonal skills;
● able to demonstrate suitability to work with children and young
people.
