Salary: £27,498 - £41,412
Hours: 35 per week

A vacancy has arisen for a full-time permanent Teacher of History and Modern Studies.  Queensferry Community High School is a non-denominational secondary school built in 1969, which serves the area of north west Edinburgh.  It draws most of its students from Dalmeny, Echline, Kirkliston and Queensferry primary schools. The catchment area comprises of students from a range of socio-economic backgrounds.

The school is firmly committed to raising attainment and promoting achievement. This is a whole school priority in improvement planning and reflects local, CEC and national priorities.

The school building includes bright and well maintained rooms.  All departments are suited with integral staff bases and are generally well resourced and equipped.  The school grounds are surrounded by car parks and playing fields.  There is a security perimeter fence and close circuit television (CCTV) cameras are in operation. The school will benefit from a new building scheduled for completion in 2020.
