Teacher of History
To commence – 1 January 2019
The Teacher of History will play a particularly vital role working with the Head of History in shaping and developing the History curriculum across the school in order to engage and motivate all pupils and improve overall outcomes in this area. The EBacc faculty incorporates the subject disciplines of: History, Geography and MFL and it is envisaged that successful team working will create a renewed sense of dynamism and creativity in the faculty. Historically the school has established a good track record in History (up to and including GCSE) but we now want to continue to develop our curriculum offer across KS3 and KS4 and achieve even more positive outcomes for pupils.
The post provides a great opportunity for a talented teacher of History to advance their own career and professional development, and to join a forward-looking school at an exciting time in its development.
Anyone interested in applying for the post is strongly encouraged to come to Tibshelf Community School to have a look round and informally meet staff and pupils. Please contact Mrs Bev Wright, HR Manager on ext. 631 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a visit.
We hope that what we are aspiring to do here will enthuse and excite you too.
We look forward to meeting you.
Tibshelf Community School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. All staff and volunteers are required to undertake a criminal record check via the DBS before they can be appointed.
