MPS/UPS required for the beginning of January 2019
with possibility of TLR for the right candidate.
Governors seek to appoint an excellent classroom practitioner dedicated to achieving high standards. The successful candidate will be required to teach History across the age and ability range, with the ability to also teach Geography at KS3 and to contribute to the existing good practice of the department.
St Augustine of Canterbury School:
· is an 11-16, mixed comprehensive which serves the community
· there is a good uptake of Humanities subjects
· GCSE results for history in 2018 were 70% 9-4 and 55% 9-5
· has a well-resourced Humanities department with a successful, committed team; all teachers have laptops

St Augustine of Canterbury Catholic High School is a mixed, comprehensive, Roman Catholic secondary school without sixth form situated in Blackbrook, St Helens, Merseyside. It is a voluntary-aided state school under the Diocese of Liverpool.
St Augustine of Canterbury opened in October 1991. A smaller than average secondary school, it provides 750 places for students between the ages of 11 and 16 when fully subscribed.
