The Northworthy Trust are inviting applications for the post of Teacher of Humanities.
Merrill Academy is an extremely rewarding school to work in. This vacancy provides an opportunity for the right candidate to join a new and highly motivated team driving this key curriculum area forward. We are looking for a new department member who will support our ambitious plans for the future.
Our plans are focused on supporting and developing the students, Humanities and the Academy as a whole, to make excellent progress and to provide all learners with a learning experience and environment which supports them. We need all our students to be well rounded citizens, critical thinkers, to be employable and leave the Academy with a love of learning and an enquiring mind – Humanities has a key role to play in this agenda.
Merrill Academy, as our Ofsted report highlights, is on a journey of transition. Since the regrading in Spring, significant positive steps have been made and a culture shift is evolving.
All staff enjoy the benefits of CPD. The post holder will enjoy working in a caring and supportive environment at Merrill Academy.
This Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. This post is subject to a DBS (formerly Enhanced CRB) Check, Medical Clearance and satisfactory references
